The Audit Committee of the Sierra Leone Immigration Department has conducted an inspection of equipment used at Freetown International Airport-Lungi. The equipment included the enrolling cameras, scanners, monitors, and electronic gate booths, provided by Securiport.
The objective of the visit was to assess the equipment's functional viability and to provide effective, efficient customer service that meets international aviation standards and sustains customer satisfaction.
The committee observed the above-mentioned equipment in real time as part of its assessment and found that all equipment was in good working order.
The committee, however, advised the FIA team to create more space for visa sticker machines at the airport to improve turnaround time for clients and customers.
The Sierra Leone Immigration Services continues to assure all inbound and outbound passengers of its maximum cooperation at all times.
